OUR STORY
In 2006 the owners of Dutch Springs moved into a new enterprise – NorthStar Adventure at Dutch Springs, created to offer experiential education and facilitated teamwork programs to youth and non-profit groups from across the Lehigh Valley and beyond.
The Sky Challenge, a rock wall and high-ropes course challenge was installed overlooking the scenic Dutch Springs lake in February of 2006. In May of the same year, NorthStar added a 10-element low-ropes course and the tools necessary for groups to accomplish their goals of developing better teamwork and stronger bonds.
In the summer of 2007, we added another rock wall, built with the intention of offering new opportunities for Boy Scouts seeking the Climbing Merit Badge and Girl Scouts seeking their High Adventure Badge.
We have since added numerous onsite and off-site programs created to encourage team development, collaboration and cooperation among a variety teams.
The corporate team development division, Northstar Team Development, was born to specifically address the development needs of companies both profit and not for profit. Northstar Team Development was both on-site challenge courses and has challenge-by-choice using the water, land and sky.
Northstar Team Development has challenges for those organizations desiring off-site venues. In 2017, responding to client needs for addressing the global talent shortages, Northstar Women Leaders was launched. Preparing and promoting women’s leadership at all phases of career development.
