Shonda Moralis, MSW, LCSW has been in psychotherapy private practice since 2006, specializing in stress-related disorders and mindfulness-based education. She has provided staff training to such organizations as banks, airports, and UPS Women’s Leadership group. Shonda has taught 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) classes at Lehigh Valley Health Network, served as Director of Mindfulness at the Center for Integrated Behavioral Health, worked as Therapist, Student Supervisor, and Teen LGBTQ Group Therapist at Valley Youth House, and as Director of Counseling at The Allentown Women’s Center.
Shonda teaches busy career women resiliency, life balance, and mindfulness, as there is a huge need for self-care and stress-reduction in this high-achieving, often perfectionist group. In her award-winning book Breathe, Mama, Breathe: 5-Minute Mindfulness for Busy Moms, she focuses on teaching mindfulness to mothers juggling multiple responsibilities.
Shonda believes we all profit from mindful awareness, learning to be authentic, empowering ourselves and our voices, and uncovering the power to lead. Whether managing a corporation or a household, mindful leadership teaches us how to be the best possible version of ourselves — benefitting our families, our businesses, and the world. Utilizing her therapy and mindfulness background, Shonda is also passionate about the power of physically challenging activities as an enhancement for personal and team growth.
Shonda received her Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and her Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania. She resides in the Lehigh Valley with her husband and two children.
